Integrating the F.Series into 3rd Party Systems The ReQuest F.Series servers can be integrated into 3rd Party home automation and control systems via its RS-232 (Serial), IR (Infrared), and Ethernet (TCP/IP) interfaces.
Integration Methods | | Serial | The serial port on the F.Series can be used for third party control and provide feedback to the control system.
- Serial control modules for some control systems are available on the ReQuest website.
- A communications protocol guide that outlines the serial protocol is also available.
- The baud rate for the ReQuest server can be set via the Web Server. See the Hardware page of the Settings/Configuration section for details.
| | Ethernet | The F.Series can also be controlled by a third party control system via the local network (TCP/IP) and provide feedback to the control system.
- Ethernet control modules for some control systems are available on the ReQuest website.
- A communications protocol guide that outlines the TCP/IP protocol is also available.
- The default TCP port for TCP/IP control is 3663. This can be changed via the Web Server. See the Network page of the Settings/Configuration section for details.

| IR | One-way commands can also be sent to the F.Series using the built in front IR receiver or an external IR receiver connected to the back of the F.Series. IR libraries for some control systems are provided on the ReQuest website. |
