Integrating the F2c into 3rd Party Systems
The
ReQuest F2c servers can be integrated into 3rd Party home
automation and control systems via its RS-232 (Serial) and Ethernet (TCP/IP) interfaces. ReQuest supplies various Guides, Program Files and Theme Files for controlling the ReQuest music servers into 3rd Party home
automation and control systems. See the F.Series Integration Downloads for the full list of vendors and available downloads.
Integration Methods | | Serial | The serial port on the F2c can be used for third party control and provide feedback to the control system.
- Serial control modules for some control systems are available on the ReQuest website.
- A communications protocol guide that outlines the serial protocol is also available.
- The baud rate for the ReQuest server can be set via the Web Server. See the Hardware page of the Settings/Configuration section for details.
| | Ethernet | The F2c can also be controlled by a third party control system via the
local network (TCP/IP) and provide feedback to the control system.
- Ethernet control modules for some control systems are available on the ReQuest website.
- A communications protocol guide that outlines the TCP/IP protocol is also available.
