About ReQuest

The original ReQuest home-entertainment systems set the standard for high-end digital media storage, management, playback, and system integration. Since 1998, the company’s award-winning media servers are the accepted leaders in cutting-edge technology. ReQuest has received numerous accolades for having the best service in the consumer electronics industry, with an installed base of more than 30,000 units. ReQuest was ranked by Inc. magazine as one of the top 500 fastest-growing private businesses in America for two years in a row.

In November 2011, ReQuest Inc. ceased operations. Two employees decided that the existing base of customers deserved to have their systems keep functioning as well as saw potential in the market for new products. ReQuest Serious Play LLC was started and acquired much of the technology of the original ReQuest. All previous generation of systems were allowed, free of charge, to continue to access online services hosted by the new company. No one has ever received a bill from ReQuest or ReQuest Serious Play for services such as Gracenote, ARQLink, NetSync, or the online services provided by the ReQuest Data Center.
